Never Leave Your Wingman BehindOn March 10, 1967, during the Vietnam War, Captain Bob Pardo and his F-4 Phantom crew found themselves in a situation where another pilot desperately needed help.
Captain Earl Aman’s aircraft had been heavily damaged and was running out of fuel over enemy territory. Rather than leave his wingman behind, Pardo did something no one thought possible— he used his own aircraft to physically push Aman’s jet toward safety.
That extraordinary act became known as Pardo's Push.
